Our story

For nearly 40 years, The Country Cottage has been a cherished stop in Dahlonega, originally opening as a novelty and candy shop. Around 20 years ago, it transformed into the gift store locals and visitors know and love today.

In 2019, our family moved to Dahlonega, drawn by the town’s charm and sense of community. When the previous owners decided to retire, we saw an opportunity to carry on The Country Cottage’s legacy. On January 1, 2022, we officially took over, and it’s been a true joy to make this beloved shop our own. We’re honored to keep its spirit alive, adding our own touches while staying true to the warmth and character that have made The Country Cottage a special part of Dahlonega for decades.
